Wheel Blast - Belt Drive has generally been replaced with Direct Drive wheels - wheel rpm can be either 1800 or 3600 and changes with wheel size to provide a specific velocity. Motor size is dictated by the wheel size and abrasive flow - more abrasive - more torque - more HP. The number of wheels will reflect the size of the part being blasted, the complexity as well as the production rate. All wheel blast machines have the following - material handling / cabinet / reclaim / abrasive delivery / part articulation / dust collection. Design, Construction, Orientation and Performance Vary by manufacturer. It is always best to run your parts in the machine that you plan to purchase with the abrasive and other conditions that simulate your projected production. You probably would not buy a car unless you first drive it. There are a number of questions that need to be answered before purchasing a machine - but the bottom line is that it does what you want it to do, at the price you can afford.
At the bottom of this page I have provided a number of links for Original Equipment Manufacturers. Once you determine what you need / want - New or Used, form, fit , function - then we can narrow down the field. Note - Wheel Blast requires Maintenance and Replacement parts - which should be figured in your final decision as well.
