Air Blast - Pressure Blast Pots - from 2 cube to Bulk Blast - multi nozzle. Size of the nozzle depends on the size / work to be done - equally important - how much compressed air. I have attached a Nozzle size / CFM - PSI chart. The Blast Pot is sized for how many cubic feet of media you need - manual blast this is important, auto blast with a reclaim system - size of the pot is not as critical. Unlike Wheel Blast - not all Air Blast Systems are the same. Manual blast can consist of a Compressor, Blast Pot, Hose / nozzle and PPE. An automated - higher production machine would consist of an Enclosure / Reclaim System / Abrasive delivery System / Dust Collection and sometimes part articulation.

The advantage of Air Blast, is that you can use any abrasive - steel, glass bead plastic, aluminum oxide, garnet, etc. The size and type of the abrasive will dictate if you need a 60 degree cone on the bottom of the pot, to accommodate the media weight and angle of repose. Air Blast is an evolution type process - starts outside with a 3 cube pot and a disposable media, moves inside with a inexpensive reusable media, adds a partial abrasive reclaim system and upgrades to a more durable media, finally makes the transition to full floor reclaim system / media separation / cleaning - high production blasting with the most cost efficient media for the application.

Design, Construction, Orientation and Performance are similar for the industrial manufacturers. You can purchase inexpensive weekend warrior type equipment - but if you need a dependable - well built - industrial machine - then there are only 3 or 4 I would recommend. Like the Wheel Blast - I have provided you with the links below.

If you are familiar with standard Blast Equipment - it is not necessary to run your parts before you purchase - however if you have a special part / process or alloy or finish - it will be worth your while to run the parts in a similar machine with the correct pressure / nozzle and media to insure - what you purchase will replicate what you expected. Again, the bottom line is does it do want you want it to do, at the price you can afford.

At the bottom of this page I have provided a number of links for Original Equipment Manufacturers. Once you determine what you need / want - New or Used, form, fit , function - then we can narrow down the field.

Note - Replacement parts are fairly competitively priced and can be retrofitted to our standard products if required.
